Taurus Crafts in May.

With the glourious May weather finally making an appearance this is a great opportunity to come to visit and enjoy the sun on the patio or in the garden. For those with young children the extra large sand pit keeps the children occupied while you can enjoy lunch or a drink on the patio. Visit the artisan businesses to check out their summer seasonal offer and enjoy the two new exhibitions that open soon.

The what's on guide, our twitter and our facebook accounts are regularly updated with last minute extras and contain all the contact info, ticket booking, directions and event details to keep you up to speed. Visit us at www.tauruscrafts.co.uk.

La Bodega – Local Food Shop and Deli

Since we said goodbye to Esther last Autumn, we have struggled to find safe hands for La Bodega. Dean Forest Food tried the shop for 3 months but decided against taking it on. They will be at the food market on Saturday May 11 if you want to explore their plans.

However, we are very pleased to say hi to Jo who is exploring taking on La Bodega as her own business. Jo has a strong interest in food and cooking and lots of ideas. She is particularly interested in making sure that there is a good range of local food and drink on offer through the shop – at last count there are about 30 local suppliers.

Please drop into to meet her and talk shop! (Thanks to Mark French of One Eye Shut for the picture.)

Tea Party Exhibition and Competition

You may have noticed the large tea party shapes here over Easter.

Over 600 of you voted and the most popular was Woolaston Under 5s who won the £50 cash prize. Sunnybank Nursery from Chepstow and Nutkins Nursery next door to us followed on and we donated gift vouchers for raffles.

Thank you also to Buds to Bloom, Lydney Early Learners, the Coleford Opportunity Centre, Come and Play, Little Pebbles and Riverside Nursery who all took part.
