Dean Forest Food Hub is a not-for-profit social enterprise aiming to ensure everyone in the Forest of Dean can access affordable, local, quality food that is fair for the producer and planet as well. The Food Hub works like an online farmers market, opening and closing at a fixed time each week.

Producers upload their produce for sale, and consumers can buy from the list of produce available. Producers get a weekly email and can bake or harvest to order, meaning there is no food wastage.

VQ Country Wines

It was just over 25 years ago that my Uncle gave me a small fermentation bin and a very tatty, very old beginners guide to wine making book. I think he wanted me to do more with his grapes other than just eat them by the bunch full.

Madgetts Farm Chicken

Madgetts Farm’s reputation for quality free range poultry has grown from the early days when they were recognised by Rick Stein as local food heroes. Their birds arrive on the farm as day-olds and Madgetts allow them to grow slowly in the fields and yards. This means good fat cover and excellent texture and taste. They are fed on natural mixed rations with no growth promoters or other ‘additions’.
